Magnolia buds

The flowering magnolia tree at Juanita Bay Park is now in full bloom, but when I took this shot in late March, it was only buds. I took several photos, but liked this one in particular because the composition reminds me of a Japanese watercolor painting... simple, yet striking and colorful.
